Dan has enjoyed a career as a comprehensive financial advisor for more than 13 years. His approach to planning is proactive, not reactive. With a diverse education background, Dan offers a unique perspective to investing. Dan received his Associate of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida with a focus on political science. He studied criminology (based on the study of sociology) at Florida State University and received a bachelor’s degree with distinction in business management from Eckerd College. With the current geopolitical, socioeconomic, and business influences on personal and commercial financial planning, Dan’s education and background makes him an ideally suited advisor.
Dan is a husband, a father, and a native Floridian. Native Floridians do exist! Not only is Dan a native Floridian, but he and his wife, Amy, have two sons that are also native Floridians, born here in Clearwater! Dan, Amy, Carson, and Jack live in Oldsmar, Florida, and lead active lives. Whether its baseball season, soccer season, or football season, there’s a Belcher boy involved, and Dan is usually out there coaching. Dan’s wife, Amy, is a tremendous supporter of the Belcher boys’ adventures while also pursuing her interests in personal health and fitness.
The Belcher family attends and is active at Bayside Community Church in Safety Harbor. Dan was asked to serve on the Church Property and Finance Committee. Additionally, Dan and Amy have been active in teaching kids in Sunday school and Vacation Bible School.
Dan has been a Dave Ramsey ELP (Endorsed Local Provider) for Long-Term Care Insurance since 2008 and is a member of the SmartVestor program for Investing. He has taught Dave’s Financial Peace University many times at Bayside Community Church.
When not coaching or at church, Dan enjoys sport shooting, fishing with his boys, and going to the beach with his family. The Belcher family also likes to travel and has been on numerous cruises throughout the years.
